One of the most exciting times of year for QuartzTec Europe as a company is when we get the opportunity to show off our high quality product and expertise at Europe’s largest microelectronics event – Semicon Europa.

The event offers exhibitors like us the opportunity to engage and network with over 5,800 engineers, executives and key decision makers.

This year, Semicon Europa was held in the French town of Grenoble and we were based on the Great Britain and Northern Ireland stand sponsored by UKTI and NMI alongside 11 other UK based suppliers. It provided the fantastic opportunity for both our operations director Gordon Whyte and our sales and marketing manager Mark Harland to continue building relationships with our key existing clients as well giving the chance to meet and create new relationships with prospective clients.

Every year at Semicon Europa, the NMI hold a whisky tasting event where visitors can sample up to a dozen malt whiskeys from Scotland and other parts of the UK. In the picture below, you can see Mark, who is an Englishman, attempting to educate a visitor on the drams of Scottish malt whisky he’s pouring.

“Attending Semicon Europa is always a great experience for us with all of the key players from the Semiconductor industry in attendance,” said Gordon.

“It was a very productive three days for us and we’re excited about the opportunities now available to grow and expand further into the European market in 2017.”
