Quartztec Europe have approved and authorised the purchase of an additional HAAS VF4 VMC with Driven Angle Tool to add to our asset list for cold machining.

The additional HAAS compliments the already established four CNC Machines, Trumpf Lasercell 1005 and a further range of cutting equipment, at the site in East Kilbride, Scotland. Running these assets is a team of five, who between them, have decades of experience in operating CNC systems.

Over the last few months we have been increasing our use of our Trumpf Lasercell 1005, beginning a journey of transition from CNC to Laser, has allowed us to improve our efficiency and provide additional capacity into the department. The team have improvement enormously over this time and the range of products we are now directing through our Trumpf Lasercell 1005 is growing more and more!

Continued capital investment into Quartztec is key to ensuring a wide range of products and services can be offered into the semiconductor market place. Our Cold Zone assets are an important aspect to our business, ensuring quality components and sub-assemblies feed into our Hot Zone for final fabrication.
